A
AANST
An ANST's assistant; someone delegated to one aspect of an ANST's work.
Addendum
The document (or set of documents) that describe how IoD interprets or alters published source material for use in its games.
ADST
Assistant Domain Storyteller; an assistant to a DST.
ANC
Assistant National Coordinator; an officer that works for the NC.
aNST
Assistant National Storyteller; Assists the NST in the performance of their duties. Assistant denoted by lower-case a.
ANST
Associate National Storyteller; usually the head Storyteller for a given Genre on a national level. ANSTs report to the NST. Associate denoted by upper-case A.
Approvals
A system in which certain items or character types must be applied for in writing; this is in order to keep things that should be rare, rare. Generally, the rarer or more "customised" an item is, the higher the level of Storyteller to whom the approval goes.
ARST
Assistant Regional Storyteller; usually the head ST for a given Genre on a regional level.
AVST
Assistant Venue Storyteller; an assistant to a VST.
Awakening
Mage: the Awakening.

Camarilla
The global White Wolf fan club to which Isles of Darkness was formerly affiliated.
Cammies
The nickname applied to members of the Camarilla. Still bandied about to refer to members of Isles of Darkness by older members.
CoC
The Code of Conduct. A part of the membership handbook that specifies how we would prefer players to act, and what Bloody Stupid Things players should avoid doing.
CoI
Conflict of Interest; Where a conflict occurs between what an officer should do from their officer position and what they should do as a player.
Coordinator
An officer in charge of real-world admin tasks that a Storyteller shouldn't have to bother with. Coordinators as a whole are referred to as the Coordinator Chain, or C-Chain.
Created
Promethean: the Created.

Dark Ages
Troupe games set in the medieval era.
DC
Domain Coordinator; the head coordinator for a Domain. DCs report to an RC.
Domain
The "local chapter" of Isles of Darkness, usually covering games set in and around a particular town or city.
DPotM
Dark Places on the Map; the ST office in charge of what happens in places not specifically covered by the ST chain.
DST
Domain Storyteller; the head ST of a Domain. They don't necessarily run a local game themselves, but do oversee all of the local VSTs. DSTs report to an RST.

Werewolf: the Forsaken.

Genre
One of the "sub-games" of the World of Darkness that Isles of Darkness runs, e.g. Requiem, Forsaken.

IoD
Isles of Darkness, an organisation that runs and organises World of Darkness LARPs in the UK. It was formerly Camarilla UK.

LARP
Live-action Roleplay, a style of roleplaying game in which the players are free to wander around a large game area and are expected to be acting in character unless specifically noted; contrast with Tabletop.
Legacy
A backup officer nominated to take over in case of real-life bother, or just so that the officer can take a holiday.
Lost
Changeling: the Lost.

MC
Membership Class, a measure of how much Prestige a player has accumulated. MC confers more XP on a player's characters.
Mortals
Games set in the World of Darkness where you take on the role of normal people, not supernatural monsters.

National
An annual multi-game event held over the course of a weekend.
NC
National Coordinator, the head of the Coordinator Chain.
NST
National Storyteller, the head of the Storyteller Chain.

Prestige
Out-of-character points gained for doing things beneficial to the Club, such as running games or providing props.
Q

RC
Regional Coordinator; The coordinator who oversees coordinator matters in an entire Region. RCs report to the NC. Now defunct.
Region
One of Isles of Darkness' geographic subdivisions. Currently North, Scotland and South.
Regional
A once-yearly multi-genre collection of games hosted in one Region over a weekend.
Requiem
Vampire: the Requiem.
RST
Regional Storyteller; The storyteller who oversees games in an entire Region. RSTs report to the NST. Now defunct.
S
ST
Storyteller; The equivalent of a Game Master; an officer strictly involved in plotting and running games themselves. STs as a whole are known as the ST chain.
T
Troupe Game
A game that's not set within the shared continuity of the IoD.
TT
Tabletop games; sit-down games with dice. Contrast with LARP. Not actually what IoD runs.

VC
Venue Coordinator; the local coordinator for one local game in one genre. VCs report to a DC.
VST
Venue Storyteller; the local storyteller for a local game in one genre. VSTs report to a DST.
W
World of Darkness
A gothic-punk-horror world very similar to our own that plays host to a myriad variety of supernatural creatures; The game-world in which we set the IoD games.
